The mission of CSC is to provide services of the highest quality for people with cognitive and developmental disabilities and related disorders including autism that optimize each individual’s independence and capabilities, ensure self-determination and rights and, with partnerships in the community, enhances their opportunities to live healthy, safe and valued lives.
We strive to provide programs and services to these individuals that will assist them to live and work in the community; to exercise their rights to choice and freedom; and to live fully integration in their communities.
To do this, we need your help. Nearly all of the funds which we expend on behalf of those we support come from state and federal programs, and the current economic downturn has had significant negative impact on those funds. Programs like CSC in Maryland have seen little, if any, growth in funds received, while expenses have grown dramatically due to inflation and the increasing needs of an aging population.
Your donations will supplement our limited resources to provide a better life for those we support. Your support might enable an individual to take a vacation, to purchase gifts for friends and relatives, or to buy a television, a bicycle, a recliner or treadmill for themselves. Your donation might also be used to supplement the limited state funding that is used for staff wages. Contributions to Center for Social Change (CSC) are deductible under section 501(c)(3) of the tax code.
You can make a tax-deductible contribution to support CSC's work by mailing your check, payable to the Center for Center for Social Change, Inc. and mailing it to the following address:
