Tomeeka

“Dress for success?” is an apt phrase where retail Associate, Tomeeka, is concerned. Working for the 'en vogue' fashion outlet, Ashley Stewart for more than four years, Tomeeka quickly picked up the tricks of the trade. Impressed by her dedication, integrity and hard work, the management of Ashley Stewart increased her work hours, income, responsibilities, as she continued to gather knowledge of the retail industry.

Tomeeka began working only one or two days a week for Ashley Stewart. Today, she works four to five days each week. All she needed was a break and once she got one at Ashley Stewart, Tommeka seized the opportunity in understanding and learning the functional areas of all departments. Today Tomeeka operates the cash register and also trains other employees. Tomeeka is serious about her career as she is serious about success.

In her spare time, Tomeeka enjoys traveling and shopping. Recently, she vacationed at Rehobeth Beach and this summer she plans to take a shopping trip to New York City. Not to let a bargain slip through, Tomeeka is often seen shopping at flea markets.

Tomeeka has come a long way since entering the Supported Employment program at CSC. She is now career-focused, a self advocate, and a wonderful person to work with.
